Yes, the POSE Method of running will allow you to run without the pain in the knees and shins. Reducing the impact forces of running becomes increasingly important as we age and lose some of the protective resiliance of youth. At any age proper movement should not cause pain. 
In the clinic you will learn the cause of your pain and how to eliminate it. It is appropriate for all levels of runners. I have worked with people who only run when caught in a hailstorm to the elite racer.
