What is CrossFit & Getting Started


CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide.

The workouts are comprised of constantly varied functional movements like pushing, pulling, squatting, lifting and running executed at high intensity.

The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs.

The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree not kind. Our armed forces, skiers, mountain bike riders and housewives have found their best fitness from the same regimen.

GETTING STARTED

How do I become a CrossFit San Ramon Member?

Start your CrossFit journey with our “Intro Class”.  In this session we will discuss your goals and limitations.  You will then learn about our program,  food recommendations and exercise mechanics for your first CrossFit workout The sessions are done privately or in a small group (usually 1 to 6  participants).

Workout:  You will be put to the test in our “Baseline” workout designed to check your current capacity and give you the opportunity to try a CrossFit Met-Con (metabolic conditioning workout).

Nutrition: During the Intro session we will talk to you about your goals and educate you about proper ways to fuel your body for weight loss, maximizing your energy, health and performance.

Start your membership with us and we will send you a meal plan to promote proper fueling for your body. After your intro session, you will then experience CrossFit along with other students in Beginner Classes designed to accelerate your fitness development while working on your mechanical and technical skills.

When you have achieved the basic mechanics and techniques required, the WOD  Classes (workout of the day) are the next step.   Here you will continue your skill development while working with increased workloads and volume of work.

  • 2 CrossFit Group Classes per week

CrossFit 10 Visit Pass: $150*

  • 10 CrossFit Classes or Open Gym Visits
  • Must be used within 12 weeks.

Open Gym Membership add on for 2x and 3x/week $25/month

  • No WOD Classes or coaching are included with this add on during Open Gym times

Yearly Membership: $1800

3) Police, Fire, Military: Active field work only – These are for people who put their life on the line for the rest of us.  We recognize and appreciate the fact that sometimes our safety depends on the fitness level of these dedicated individuals.
